How to Use iTransfer for Windows
Part 1: How to Transfer Video/Audio from iPod/iPhone/iPad to iTunes
This is iTransfer quick guide for users who want to transfer data between iPod/iPhone/iPad and iTunes or between iPod/iPhone/iPad and computer.
Step 1: Download and install
Download iTransfer, install it. Plug-in your iPod/iPhone/iPad to computer, and then run iTransfer, if the connection succeeds, it will show the information of your iPod/iPhone/iPad as follows.

Note: You should make sure that iTunes 8 or higher version was installed before using iTransfer.
Step 2: Select files which you want to transfer
Click one category to open the files folder. Here we take music as example. Then choose Smart or Manual mode on the top-right of the interface, or just leave this as default.

Tips: We recommend you Smart mode when transfer music and video from iPod/iPhone/iPad to iTunes.
Step 3: Start to transfer
Select one or more songs marked as
and make sure the check box named "iTunes Info" are selected (if you are in Manual mode) then hit the big blue button "Transfer" to start. Step 1: Open the files folder
Click one category where you want to transfer files. Here we take Music as example. Click File or right click on the files area of iTransfer to open the menu and select Add... then add files as follows. Or just drag files from your local folder to the files area. A progress window will pop up.

Step 2: Select the songs you want to backup to PC local
Any video and audio are supported. If the format of video or audio you select is not supported by iPod/iPhone/ipad, iTransfer will convert it to be iPod/iPhone/ipad formats while transferring.

Step 3: Start to transfer
Select a local folder to save these songs by "Output folder" and leave "iTunes info" checkbox blank.

Part 3: Useful Tips in Using iTransfer
1. The difference between Smart and Manual Modes
In Smart mode, there're all files that iTunes doesn't have, marked as
. You can choose one or more files to download from iPod. However, you must transfer the file/files to both PC local and iTunes.
In Manual mode, there're all files of iPod no matter whether iTunes has or not, marked as
or
. You can choose one or both of PC local and iTunes for output.
2. How to Delete Files from iPod Directly
Select the check box of file that you want to delete, and click "File" or right click then choose "Delete" or just press "Del" key on keyboard. The file will be deleted from iPod directly without iTunes.

3. Add/edit/delete playlist/Album
Click "File", select "Playlist" or "Photo Album" from the drop-down menu. Here you can do any operation on Playlist or Album. Or you can just right click on Playlist or Album area to open the operating menu.

4. Quick search and sort
Click down-arrow beside search icon to select sort field or just type any keywords in search box to search files.

5. Edit tags of iPod
Edit field: Right click on title bar of files area, file fields list pops up. You can select or unselect any fields for iPod files according to your needs.

Edit file: Select an item of file then single click any filed of the file. Here you can rename the field of the file.

6. Preview movie
Select a movie file then click play button on preview window or just double click the movie file to preview the movie.
