To save a QuickTime video from a Web browser using the QuickTime player, look at the address bar in the Web browser to see if the URL of the currently displayed file is listed there (the QuickTime plug-in has been used to load in the movie). If the file ends in .mov, it is a QuickTime movie and saving the file entails just choosing "Save As" from the "File" menu of the Web browser to save it to the desktop. If the URL in the address bar ends in some other extension (like .html) but you still see a QuickTime movie in the Web browser, this means the movie is embedded in the Web page. To download it, find out the URL of the movie by right-clicking (or Control-click) and choose "View Source" from the pop-up menu. Search through the source window that has appeared for .mov till you find the URL for the movie. Copy and past this URL into a new Web browser window, and then once the movie has loaded, choose "Save As" from the "File" menu to save it to the desktop.
