How to Convert DVD Video to iPod Touch/classic/nano

Considering Apple sold one million iPhone units in the US within 74 days of its release, it is little wonder that the imminent arrival of the latest must-have product has sparked a consumer frenzy this side of the Atlantic as well.
Here I will share some of my experience of iPod: put DVD Video on iPod Touch/Nano/Classic. And the most inconvenience is how to edit the playlist of iPhone iTunes.

Nowadays, Apple unveils a new music player called the iPod Touch, a new version of its popular media player with wireless internet access and other touch screen features found on the iPhone. With this new iPod Touch, all of iPod shuffle, iPod nano and iPod classic go for a version.

Part One: How to watch PDF or electronic book on iPod Touch/Nano/Classic/Video

iPod cannot directly display PDF files, the only way is to convert them to plain text and put them in the Notes folder on your iPod. Mind you, the Notes folder only allows a max of 1000 files with none of the files being larger than 4kb.and then copy the *txt file to the 'Note' folder on your iPod. Here are the detailed steps:

Enable your iPod as a portable hard drive, plug in your iPod to computer and run iTunes, in the summary tab, check the option named 'enable iPod disk mode'

Connect your iPod to computer, open 'My Computer', open the iPod drive (the new drive with your iPod name), and copy the txt file to the 'Note' folder, done. Then you can read the text file on iPod note.

Download Daniusoft DVD to iPod Converter (Supports Window 7 and support new iPod), Install and Run it.(If you are using Mac OS X and want to convert DVD to iPod on Mac, please refer to DVD Ripper for Mac)

You can click on 'Load File' to add DVD/IFO from your hard disk. Or insert your DVD disc into your DVD-Rom. Click 'Load DVD' button to add the DVD file.

Tips:
1. A regular DVD movie has several titles, this software will let you to merge all the DVD chapters into one video clips by "Merge into one file", you can check the click box before the title list to select any DVD clips you want to rip.

2. Cut off the black edges of the DVD movie to watch in full screen by click the ' Crop' button.
Move your mouse cursor to a box on the frame around the video, and drag the frame to crop your video. Or you can choose a crop option.

3. Trim – As you have selected the clips to convert, here you can trim any segment of your clips to convert by click the 'Trim' button.

4. If you want to convert audio from DVD, choose the audio output formats which could let you rip audio from DVD Movie.

Part Three: How to convert Video Audio to iPod Touch/Nano/Classic

Convert other Video/ audio to new iPod is the same process as convert DVD to iPod. It also support convert youtube video and limewire file to iPod.

Part Four: How to put video to iPod with iTunes

Once you have videos from other sources in the correct format, import the correctly formatted video and audio into your iPod following these steps:
Open iTunes.

Select Movies.

Select File->Import. The movie imports into iTunes.

Select the movie with a single click.

Select Advanced->Convert Selection for iPod

You can also right-click on the movie file icon and select this option.

Select the new file created to sync.

Sync your iPod with iTunes.
